The Heart Truth Red Dress Fashion Show is always the perfect kickoff to New York Fashion Week. For one, it supports the efforts of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and encourages better heart health for all women. Plus, all the red hot dresses at the show are modeled by an array of our favorite celebrities.
This year, Gabby Douglas, Toni Braxton, Wendy Williams and Soledad O'Brien were among the amazing women that strutted down the catwalk for the amazing cause on Wednesday night in New York City.
Gabby, the history-making Olympic gold medalist, showed off her fabulously toned figure in an asymmetrical Pamella Roland gown. “I love fashion and I try to style different things together . . . oh, I just love it,” Gabby told Newsday.
Toni, who was diagnosed with heart disease in 2007, looked every bit the pro as she worked her way down the catwalk in a sexy Herve Leger dress. She definitely knows how to work that sexy design -- perhaps she's channeling her self-proclaimed "inner slut."
Wendy Williams also had a blast playing a runway model for the night, which she practiced while taping her Fox Network talk show. The outspoken TV personality donned a one-sleeved Norma Kamali creation and was accessorized with sparkly jewels and studded Christian Louboutin heels.
