Presidential candidates were yesterday put on the spot in the second debate as they tried to answer questions regarding alleged scandals facing them. Safina's Paul Muite and Amani's Musalia Mudavadi were hard pressed to explain their role in the Goldenberg scandal.
CORD's Raila Odinga also had to explain the Maize scandal, the Kazi kwa Vijana project and the NHIF scandal with ARC's Mohamed Dida asked to come clean on his employment bureau.
Uhuru Kenyatta was also given time to explain the typing error in the budget while Martha Karua defended the appointment of ECK commissioners.
