Have you see the latest video released by Alicia Keys and Maxwell for 'Fire we Make' yet?
The song, off Keys’ 2012 album Girl On Fire, is a classic slow jam with the two getting all hot and bothered over their inevitable love affair.
Set in New Orleans during the late ‘50s, the clip plays out like something from a Tennessee Williams play. Keys even sets up the romance by saying, “The heat, the French Quarter and him/We fell in love.”
The two “meet-cute” at her family’s hotel in the heart of the French Quarter, and soon she’s lounging around in her gauzy white dress with her old fan and ice cubes trying not to overheat. It certainly isn’t easy, especially when Maxwell breaks out the swoon-worthy falsetto to say, “You want to be the one/You can’t stay away.”
