Whoa, baby! It looks like Shakira is ready to pop… but before baby comes the baby shower!

Shakira posted this beautiful black and white photo of her pregnant self with beau Gerard Pique via Twitter.

She invited her fans to “celebrate the imminent birth of our first child with all of you.”

The singer and the soccer star are using the impending birth of their baby as an opportunity to help others via a virtual baby shower for underprivileged children hosted by UNICEF where people can go online and purchase baby gifts (such as mosquito net to keep baby safe from malaria) for as little as $5.

Shakira, a goodwill ambassador for the UN children’s agency, and Gerard said in a message, “To celebrate the arrival of our first child, we hope that, in his name, other less privileged children in the world can have their basic needs covered through gifts and donations. Thank you for sharing this unforgettable moment with us.”

We love that Shakira is using her celebrity and her pregnancy to help those less fortunate.
